When does the sale take place?

The LIVE sale takes place at Ecuries d’Ecaussinnes, located Rue Blavier, 3 , 7190 Ecaussinnes Belgium on June 6th from 9h00pm.

🔵 Part 1: the online sale will open on June 4th at 8:00pm CET until June 5 8:00pm.

🔴 Part 2 :the online sale will open on June 6th at 9:00pm CET

 

Registered bidders may bid online for the entire duration of the sale.

Simultaneously, the sale is streamed live on www.theauction-online.com

Where and how can I bid?

Bid may be placed by:
-attending the sale in Ecaussinnes Belgium or mandating a representative to attend and bid on one’s behalf
-by phone through a The Auction representative
-on-line by logging to www.theauction-online.com

First create a personal account and register to bid by clicking HERE.

Once your request has been approved, you will receive a personal access code by e-mail, to be used to confirm your identity before you start bidding.

If you already have an account with The Auction, you need to request to access the “Ecaussinnes Collection” Sale.

The Auction reserves the right to refuse approval to any bidder which The Auction considers not to have provided sufficient proof of solvency.

What commission and taxes apply?

Buyer commission is 10% + VAT

VAT 21%, applicable to the hammer price (with the exception of lots sold without VAT) and buyers commission.

There are 5 options for VAT calculation:
1. The buyer is from Belgium and is VAT liable: VAT is invoiced on the total selling price (recoverable VAT for companies).

2. The buyer is VAT-liable in an EU member country other than Belgium and possesses an intra-community VAT number, and the horse is delivered to in a EU member country: VAT exemption, presentation of the proof of export mandatory within three months. The horse is not allowed to compete in the country during that time.

3. The buyer is VAT liable in an EU member country other than Belgium and possesses an intra-community VAT number, and the LOT remains in Belgium: VAT invoicing (recoverable VAT with the Belgian tax authorities).

4. The buyer is not VAT liable in Belgium nor any other EU member state: VAT invoiced (not recoverable).

5. The Lot is exported outside of the EU: VAT exemption upon presentation of the customs document certifying the export of the horse. The horse must be exported within three months and is not allowed to compete in the EU during that time.

When and how to make payment?

Payment in full (hammer price, commission and VAT when applicable) must be organized on  the day of purchase by wire transfer to The Auction. 

When can I take delivery of my purchase?

After the sale, the horses return to their vendors until full payment is settled by the purchaser.  The Auction will grant authorization to collect the horse as soon as payment is received.

Vet. protocole

he Auction has established a strict and comprehensive protocol for all the horses on sale which includes an extensive set of X-Rays, a clinical examination and a piroplasmosis negative blood test.
